Vice Life started out as a very personal song and originally was about the potential harm that life threatening illicit drugs are capable of, but over time I came to realize that as humans we are all addicted something and sadly we will never be content with what we already have, we will always want more to the point it will most likely endanger our physical and mental well beings.
lyrics
Step into my fucking shoes and look at this world through my eyes,
Then you'll understand how I see the blind the blind,
Into the unknown and tunnels blackened,
Getting to the end without realizing what's happened,
Pushed what you know beyond your limited peak,
Arriving at outcomes you don't want to seek,
Can't comprehend why you don't comprehend,
That you may never experience anything again,
It can just take one time and all at once,
You'll lose everything you ever loved,
But tonight,
You're burning candles at both ends,
And tonight,
Fate's out of your hands,
Now you know,
Outweighed with the guilt,
Now you've gone,
And destroyed everything you ever built,
Can't be good the whole time,
No surprise,
Everything won't always be that fine,
Take the good with the bad?
No way back,
Forget all the times we will never have
Embrace this vice life.
This vice life's apart of my life,
Artificially fucked up and now luck's up.
This vice life.
